Clayfield (P) Residence

12 years ago these Clayfield residents planned to build a two storey house, but shied away from including the second floor.

As their three children grew, they decided it was time to add the extra floor to more generously share the rooms downstairs whilst creating the privacy of a spacious Master Suite upstairs including a Master Bedroom, Walk in Robe and En Suite. The house was refurbished inside and out to marry the old and new, using the understated warmth of sepia and earthy charcoal toned timbers and stone throughout.

Downstairs, the home is centred around the kitchen, featuring an impressive three metre long textured black stone bench top lit by the window beyond. Generous windows blend the openness of each interconnecting room with the surrounding garden and the home is a lovely setting for the family’s growing collection of art and furniture.

Upstairs, the new master suite retreats to the privacy of a stone and timber en suite. The stone bath and bench tops evoke a tranquil day spa with the timber sliding doors framing views over neighbouring tree tops.
