Ross Parry Dentist is Ingrid’s second Dental Fit for Dr Parry, she completed her first in 1999. In this new surgery, the cheerful yellow colour, with the simple black and white contrasting palette, was selected to transition patients from the busyness of George St into this relatively calm, friendly environment a few floors above street level.
The limited 85sqm of floor area meant each room was designed to maximise functional and spatial efficiency around the premium space allocated to the single surgery. Corridors were minimised and all rooms branch off a short central spine. The layering of rooms from the reception desk to the filtered light of the shielded windows beyond engages the seated visitor within the light filled Reception, mitigating the potential anxieties of a visit to the dentist.
